TailBloom — Why We Started

Last week, London hit 32°C.

I was out walking a French Bulldog from next door — a dog I’ve grown to love, even though I can’t have one of my own.

Within minutes, he stopped.

Sat down on the pavement.

Tongue out. Breathing hard. Not wanting to move.

I wasn’t scared exactly. But I was uncomfortable.

That walk didn’t feel like it should.

In the UK, dogs aren’t backyard animals. They sleep on your bed, sit on your sofa, and go everywhere you go.

They’re family.

And when summer hits harder than it used to — which it does now, every year — that family member struggles in a way that feels unfair.

That experience stayed with me.

I started looking for a simple way to make warm-weather walks more comfortable.

That search eventually became TailBloom.
